EU Supercluster event

SEMACRET research project participated in the @EU Supercluster event organized by HEU EIS project and University of Queensland, held on 30-31 October 2023 in Rovaniemi, Finland. More than 20 EU funded projects presented their research results in the event, which covered variable topics across the whole value chain of raw materials. The EU cluster event aims to build connections between different stakeholders including exploration and mining companies, regional authorities, research institutes and EU projects, to discuss the challenges of raw materials development and solutions.

The SEMACRET team had presentations on responsible exploration for the green transition, application of machine learning for social media attitude detection in Europe’s mineral development and CoDA based approach for surficial geochemistry, by Dr. Malcolm Aranha from the University of Oulu, Dr. Kyle Bahr from University of Eastern Finland, and Charmme Kalubowila from the University of Oulu, respectively.

We’re incredibly proud of our team’s contributions to the EU Supercluster Event, and we look forward to continuing our work in critical raw materials and mineral development in Europe.
