SEMACRET had its 3rd consortium meeting hosted by our partners in Poland, Wroclaw. The meeting took off with two days of presentations, group workshops and intense discussion.

It followed with a one day fieldtrip in the Sleza Ophiolite reference site. We visited a serpentine quarry and old magnesite mine. The colleagues from the Polish Geological Institute prepared a wonderful display of drill cores and samples and finally took us in a tour trough Sleza mountain to see Fe-Ti-V oxides in ophiolite upper section, likely corresponding to the paleoridge axial melt lens. It were 3 wonderful days of sharing knowledge and planning the upcoming semester.
