Consortium Meeting in Portugal

SEMACRET second consortium meeting was held in Portugal between 10 to 12 January. The hybrid meeting was hosted by Portuguese partners Instituto Dom Luiz/Faculdade Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa where 33 members joined to discuss the project’s progress and results. The consortium then head south for a fieldtrip to the Beja reference site.

This was an opportunity for  partners to get aquatinted with the geology of the Layered Gabbroic Sequence, discuss its petrogenetic and metallogenic evolution as  well as the challenges for the upcoming geophysical campaigns.

Finally, 5 members of the surface geochemistry team stayed  on-site with the Portuguese site coordinator to deploy an exploration geochemistry orientation campaign. It was an intense and productive week for #SEMACRET
